As previously rumored, Sony has now confirmed they’re going to debut a slew of new games for PlayStation 5 on June 4, 2020 at 1:00pm PST via a digital event titled The Future of Gaming.
It was rumored the event would take place June 3rd by industry insiders and Bloomberg however, we now have confirmation that June 4th will be the day via PlayStation’s official twitter account along with a teaser video.
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s president Jim Ryan stated, “The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe,” and “studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware. This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you.”
The last digital event for PlayStation 5 was on March 18th, where a slew of hardware information was discussed in a more industry style event.
